There are three prayers that I pray every day:
I Chronicles 4:10:
“Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let Your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.”
Isaiah 50:4:
“The Sovereign Lord has given me an instructed tongue, to know the word that sustains the weary. He wakens me morning by morning, wakens my ear to listen like one being taught.”
Matthew 6:9-13:
“Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name, Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one, for yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.”
I have found that these three prayers help me to focus on who God is, and who I am in Him.
I am convinced that the only thing that matters while I am here on this earth is what I do for the kingdom of God. Everything else will soon fade away…therefore, ”Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” (Matthew 6:19-21)
My prayer for you and me as Christ-followers is that our hearts WILL BE with our Father in heaven, and that we would live our lives accordingly until we see Him face to face.
